TOUR BLOG #5 (New Orleans part 2)
So our favorite spot in New Orleans is Frenchmen St. and we went to DBA Fri. night and Jesse got lost on the way home @ 4:30am. Luckily Pat was also walking home and came to the rescue with his iphone gps. We probably slept a total of 10 hours in 3 nights and then drove the full way home (14 hrs), so we were insanely glad to hit the hay. We did stop for Corky's BBQ on the way home, which rivaled Daddy D's in Atlanta for our favorite food of the trip.

Next up is our 4th of July show with Santah in Urbana!

TOUR BLOG #5 (New Orleans part 1)
I am writing you from the computer in an awesome bed/breakfast style hotel right in downtown New Orleans! Coincidentally the hotel is located only a few blocks from the Circle Bar where Pat has played with The Safes, so we visited there last night and caught a great band called Vox and the Hound. We breezed through Burboun St. and hung out at Le Fitte for awhile where George Washington reportedly drank. Another highlight was the Spotted Cat where there was a great jazz band complete with banjo! Then we made it to Cafe du Monde and checked out Checkpoint Charlies where we will be playing Sat. night. We also met up with Josh from "A New Light," who kindly guided us around before crashing out with us on our floor.

Pierre and I have never been here before, and it is amazing. The houses are very unique and there is a great smell of Cajun food around our area. Perhaps the most peculiar thing though is that people are friendly and say hello, usually without wanting anything from you!

Can't wait to explore more today!

Stay tuned for N.O. part 2.

TOUR BLOG #4 (ATLANTA)
Now we're all rested up and watching the New Zealand/Paraguay World Cup match.

Last night's venue was one of our favorites in terms of size and sound, though it was hard to find at first. We pretty much drove around all Atlanta before finding where we needed to go. Still, we had an opportunity to see the city including the Olympic Park, the Aquarium, and the World of Coca-Cola.

The booking agent we originally talked to was fired, and we were a little worried whether or not we would be playing with anyone. However, the venue came through and found a really cool band for us to rock with, Rhino. They were hard rocking and told us all we could want about Mastodon and the Atlanta rock/metal scene. Apparently Mastodon has played Lenny's before, so Pat and I were a little giddy. Plus the guys from Rhino were totally cool and they even suggested that we eat at Daddy D's BBQ, which is hands down our favorite restaurant so far on tour. The cornbread was the most dense thing ever and it felt like a small brick in our hands. Delicous!

We are in Montgomery right now and on our way to New Orleans!!!!

TOUR BLOG #3 (ATHENS)
Hey all. So we pulled into Athens, GA and had an awesome lunch @ the Grill cafe. We had alot of time to kill before Caledonia opened, so we wandered around downtown. Pat ended up finding a nice spot to hang out on campus to read and Jesse and Pierre found a gentleman's club called "Toppers" that had $1 Mimosas. A fun time was had for all.

Later on back at Caledonia Thieves Market and The Nice Machine were great as expected, and Scott and Amber from Thieves even offered to put us up for the night. Thanks to everyone for being so awesome. We finished our Athens stay by eating at Mellow Mushroom and heading out to Atlanta, where the players play!

TOUR BLOG #2 (Chapel Hill)

While entering into NC, we did what anyone would do and "Raised Up" and took our shirts off and spun them around our heads like a helicopter.

We rocked with Puritan Rodeo @ the Cave and explored UNC. Must say, they rocked hard and the campus was pretty cool. Almost bought our friend Darrin a UNC championship shirt due to his Illini grudge, but refrained. We hung out at the Top of the Hill bar overlooking Franklin St. and bought some vintage tees @ a sweet clothes store. Then we watched Switzerland vs. Spain and went to see Toy Story 3... We highly recommend it!

Currently we are stashed in a Red Roof in in South Carolina and are finally able to download the theme song to our tour "Your Love is My Drug" by Ke$ha! Stay tuned for Athens, GA.

TOUR BLOG #1 (Louisville and Nashville)
Oh hey. This is the first time we've had access to the internets so I'll have to condense two shows into one blog. I'm sure you won't mind.

First things first... We are traveling in Pat's sister's Forrester (THANK YOU SO MUCH ELLEN!) and were able to figure out a way to get drums, guitars, amps, merch, backpacks, food, and the 3 of us into the vehicle without even leaving a tom or extra cymbal behind. We've got it down to a system now and we've gotten alot of amazed reactions to our packing skills.

Louisville... So we got to the venue, Nachbar, and set up to play with the Genius File. They were rockin as hell and we closed out the night with a 9 song set. Nachbar is open till 4am!! and we met alot of cool people there. Thanks to Analisa for the invite to play the block party in Lexington (we'll def be in touch). So Jake and John from the GF were nice enough to put us up for the night in their new apartment (thanks dudes!) and while sleeping we heard an inebriated couple having fun in the back of a pickup truck just outside the window. Awesome.

On to Nashville... We got stuck on I65 for about 40 min. but finally got into the city and ate @ Jake's BBQ, which was pretty phenom. Then we took an alternate route to Loudhouse Coffee and literally rock and rolled all night with 5 other bands! It was a sweet venue and everyone was incredibly cool. Pat and Jesse particularly enjoyed the fingertapping by the guitarist from Moto Vein and the grilled cheese served by the Loudhouse staff.

Next up is Chapel Hill, NC.
